    Before Crucification

    John 5:27 27: And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. John 5:17-30
    John 5:17-30 [ESV] 17: But Jesus answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I am working." 18: This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. 19: So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. 20: For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. 21: For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. 22: The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, 23: that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father.     Mark 2:3-12 [ESV] 3: And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. 4: And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. 5: And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are forgiven." 6: Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, 7: "Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" 8: And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you question these things in your hearts? 9: Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk'? 10: But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"- he said to the paralytic- 11: "I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home." 12: And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!" Luke 5:18-26 [ESV] 18: And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus, 19: but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. 20: And when he saw their faith, he said, "Man, your sins are forgiven you." 21: And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" 22: When Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered them, "Why do you question in your hearts? 23: Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise and walk'? 24: But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"- he said to the man who was paralyzed- "I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home." 25: And immediately he rose up before them and picked up what he had been lying on and went home, glorifying God. 26: And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, "We have seen extraordinary things today."
     Forgiving sins is not derived!

        Daniel 5:5 5: Immediately the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw the hand as it wrote. Daniel 5
        Daniel 5 1: King Belshazzar made a great feast for a thousand of his lords and drank wine in front of the thousand. 2: Belshazzar, when he tasted the wine, commanded that the vessels of gold and of silver that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem be brought, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them. 3: Then they brought in the golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. 4: They drank wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone. 5: Immediately the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw the hand as it wrote. 6: Then the king's color changed, and his thoughts alarmed him; his limbs gave way, and his knees knocked together. 7: The king called loudly to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers. The king answered and said to Daniel, "You are that Daniel, one of the exiles of Judah, whom the king my father brought from Judah. 14: I have heard of you that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you. 15: Now the wise men, the enchanters, have been brought in before me to read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, but they could not show the interpretation of the matter. 16: But I have heard that you can give interpretations and solve problems. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom." 17: Then Daniel answered and said before the king, "Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another. Nevertheless, I will read the writing to the king and make known to him the interpretation. 18: O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father kingship and greatness and glory and majesty. 19: And because of the greatness that he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he killed, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he raised up, and whom he would, he humbled. 20: But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was brought down from his kingly throne, and his glory was taken from him. 21: He was driven from among the children of mankind, and his mind was made like that of a beast, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys.     Luke 11:28-32 [ESV] 28: But he said, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!" 29: When the crowds were increasing, he began to say, "This generation is an evil generation.
