Suggested Criteria for Church Membership
- Just as Thomas declared of Jesus "My Lord and My God"
So we as a church declare likewise. We are a Jesus fan club, and believe Jesus is our saviour and redeemer
- The Bible is the inspired work of God given as a gift to us to learn His ways
Now as an assembly there may me different viewpoint, Calvinist or Arminian or lutheran or orthodox or catholic whatever.
I think on a people level there is a possibility of "theology without anathemas." ?
Jesus Prayed in John 17:
20: "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,
21: that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
Observation
Community and club are different. Community can be achieved in any club where effort is made to get to know people outside the club environment.
